Mozilla Thunderbird Web Links

In mozilla Thunderbird, how can I get it to open a website when I click on a link in an email. At present nothing happens.
My default Browser is Mozilla, I am running Windows XP with SP2.

I'm able to open web links in Thunderbird by single left clicking on the link and there doesn't appear to be any particular configuration for it.

If you right click on the link you can copy the link and then paste it into a window, but it's one step that doesn't really seem necessary to have to do.
