Moving Program Files to Another HDD

i have a spare 20gb hdd can i move my program files to it and keep the main 120gb hdd for every thing else or if i move it will every think be currupt and not work???

There are registry fixes involved in this and if you are not confident enough to go delveing in there its not the way to go, pending on how many progs you have uninstall and reinstall to other HDD is a safer option you can then make it a default location for any other progs you install......

Software is available from hard drive makers websites, enabling a new hard drive to be fitted and everything copied over.

It is easy to do with this software.

I should add that you can make the copy, then test it before you delete the original.

which hdd maker the one im moving it to or the one im getting it off?

I've used Western digital software for other makes with no problems.

I suppose really it should be the one you're moving to.
