Anyone know if it's okay to swop Norton A/V from my old HDD to a new HDD and copy the definitions to the new location. I don't know how the registration will react. Have tried contacting Symatec but all you can get is their autoresponce reply not telling you what you want to know.

When I bought new PC I re-used my Norton A/V. Once loaded, it updated AV definitions etc. via internet (I'm lucky, I have broadband). No problems so far with subscription. I receive auto updates.

Providing you you have a currant subscription you can use Norton on the new HD. Personannly I would reinstall Norton as Madrid suggests.
