Hope someone can help me. My monitor displayed a message - hard drive failure - then proceeded to boot up .This time no boot up and message on screen - no signal - I shut the computer down and tried it later on and it booted up o.k. I have the c:drive as the system drive but i also have a second hard drive , can i transfer everything that is needed for the system to work properly on to the second hard drive and then purchase a replacement hard drive without losing all the programmes currently on the c:drive.Grateful for any advice .

The best way to do it is via a copying program like Norton Ghost, you can do it by copying from one drive to the other but you cdould find that certain files will not copy.
