Am soon to get a new pc. Can anyone advise me how to transfer all my emails from Outlook Express on my current pc in a form that I can then load onto the new pc. Does Vista have outlook Express or something newer ?

Thanks. I had thought I could use Export, but when doing so from Outlook Express, the only options it gives is to " export to MS Outlook or MS Exchange". Neither of these options is any use to me. I had thought you could export to Excel for instance. Anyway, thanks for the link.

Could you transfer the *.dbx files from XP to Vista. You need to confirm this with somebody that knows about whether vista uses the same email files as XP before doing so? David

Thanks, but the link provided by rawprawn gives info on backing up and transferring the .dbx files.

If it works, it is much easier to transfer the *.dbx files from XP to Vista than use a delimited file transfer, providing Vista uses the same dbx files. You could do a search to see if you could find them first??? David
