Mouse double click too fast

  stannes 22:43 11 Aug 05

For some reason my mouse double click speed is set on fast. I can adjust the setting through control panel, but after a re-boot the computer re-sets itself to fast again. I am fed up changing the setting for each session. Can anyone help me?

What OS and do you have full OS disc

I wonder if it could be a conflict of drivers.
Try CONTROL PANEL - SYSTEM - HARDWEAR - DEVICE MANAGER - Click on Mouse and pointing devices -
UNINSTALL the mouse driver. And reboot the computer. The mouse should find a new driver on reboot.
IF you have a mouse cd reinstall the driver.
Good luck

If you have XP download MS PowerToys, if Win ME or 98 then you need to Download Tweak UI. you can set the Mouse with both of these

If you double click on Mouse in Control Panel you should get a Mouse Properties box displayed.

Youu can adjust the double click speed to your preferred setting from the Buttons tab.

Alternatively, if you installed the manufacturer's driver, this should have a menu feature.
