Mouse double-click problem

  Marjy5 19:58 09 Mar 04

My PC will not respond to a double-click. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse drivers and software, nothing changed. I checked to make sure that single-click wasn't selected in Folder options, it wasn't. I've duplicated the registry settings with a PC that has a fully working mouse, still nothing changed, it seems like Windows has forgotten what a double-click does. Please help, i'm running Windows 98 and using a standard NEC wheel mouse through the PS2 port.

Have you checked double click rate in mouse settings in Control Panel?

You may be able to configure clicking on the wheel as a double-click in there too.

Been there, done that. Thanks anyway.

Have you tried a different mouse? (please ignore if yes)
