Can you recommend a good mouse as mine isn't a very good mover

  User-178362 08:17 30 Aug 05

I do not want a cordless one.

I think that it might be best to go to, for example, PCWorld and try a few for comfort.

Any optical mouse is pretty good these days.

how much are you willing to spend? they come in all shapes and sizes and prices. Optical is what most people have nowadays.

"Optical is what most people have nowadays".

Really? How did you arrive at that conclusion?

I don't use an optical mouse and neither do most of the people (including office colleagues) I know

Logitech do make good mice - reliable etc.

Optical mice don't suffer so much from fluff and gunge gumming up the works

Mice come in various sizes - including quite tiny, for laptops mainly (watch the cable length with these)

So - Diodorus Siculus' advice and link are excellent.

try an optical and I bet you won't want to change back

Hi, have you checked that the rollers inside the mouse are clean? I think I did show you at one time. Take out the ball, then use a nail file or similar to clean the built-up gunge on the rollers. Get them clean and your mouse will be a groovy mover again.

Cheers.

As Jackcoms says lots of people use a roller ball mouse.

Mainly the ones who have never tried an optical one.

Thank you. I will go and try out an optical mouse. I have three and I think they are all blind, as they move slowly feels as if they are draging their feet, and one seems to go side ways in stead of up or down. Maybe it's its me.
