Need help to find the correct drivers.

My motherboard is Gigabyte GA8siml

Motherboard ID 62-1029-001199-00101111-040201-SiS650$NECC000_8SIMLNF V2.0S
Have looked on gigabyte site ;but confused need to make sure i have the correct drivers.
help appreciated.

I don't think that GA8siml is the correct motherboard model; get SIW and it will ID the motherboard for you. SIW - System Information for Windows - Software,Hardware,Network

yes thats where i am confused. does the motherboard drivers include the chipset drivers or is this a separate thing?

Thanks for the link does the ata driver contain all the separate ones listed below? and what precautions do i need to take apart from creating a restore point.

No.

I'd probably install the new ATA, Audio, Chipset and VGA drivers; you will need the LAN drivers if you don't use a USB broadband modem and may also have to Enable LAN in the Bios.

Obviously your manual is the first place for guidance - if you haven't got one it can be downloaded from the same web page.
