Can anybody advise me on a good but cheep motherboard as the one i have wont support a amd xp2400 psu. It runs ok but i cant update the bios , so the next best thing would be to update the board.
I have a soltek m/b running xp pro
Thanks Ken

Have a look at the Gigabyte website. They have some good mobos and provide good software that will update the BIOS for you by just clicking a couple times.

My current board is gigabyte (had it for a couple of years and am WELL pleased, no desire to upgrade yet!!).

Previous board was an asus, didn't like it at all! About to do a new build for a friend which will be another gigabyte board.

Just bought an ASRock K7S41GX from planetmicro to upgrade my son's pc with an AMD Sempron. Started up first time without problems.
