Please help me!!

I have the GA-71XE4 Socket A Motherboard with a AMD 756 (Viper) Chipset which I have been trying to install Windows 2000. After Windows has inspected the hardware I get the following error message: "d:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\arcdisp.c" & the installation stops.

Please can anyone suggest what I can do to successfully install Windows 2000!!! Many Thanks in advance.....

It is likely to be due to the memory. When Win2k is setting up it creates a RAM drive and it's trying to read info from the faulty RAM. If you have multiple RAM sticks try removing them one at a time and see if it works. If you have only one stick you'll need to get yourself a new one. Hope this helps.
