Can anyone please tell me if the following components are compatible:-
Asus A8N SLI Deluxe Mobo
AMD Athlon 64 3200 +64 Winchester Processor
Nvidia GEforce FX5700 Video Card
Alaska 400W Pfc.
any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The graphics card will have to be PCI Express as this board does not have an AGP slot. click here

I would be tempted to get a more powerful (550W) PSU as if you make use of the SLI you will need it.

Thanks Brmner for your reply, should I choose a mobo with an AGP slot?

PCI-E is going to replace AGP. If you are upgrading now then getting A PCI-E board may make sense. The PCI_E graphics cards are about the same price as the AGP ones.

just make sure that the athlon is 939 pin and not 754 pin or it will not fit the mobo.

as for other items, follow bremner's advice.
