Most Visited Sites in Google Toolbar

I have Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer 7 and Google Toolbar. Recently when opening new tab, the new tab page displays Most Visited Sites.

Does anyone please how I can delete these and also prevent them being displayed in future.

Many thanks buteman. I have now turned this off as you suggested and this rather annoying feature (to me anyway) does not appear now when I open a new tab.

Sorry for a follow up question, but, (apart from thankfully not now displaying Most Visited Sites when opening a new tab), is there any significant difference than before, when the Tabs Settings were set at default.

Yes I will wait a while just in case anyone else know the answer. Thanks again for your help.
