When I first bought my computer four years ago (Compac presario), it had 256 MB ram. I did upgrade this two years ago to 512, but I think I need more, but will my computer take it, and how do I find out?

Enter you computer details in the Crucial Memory Selector click here and it will tell you what size memory you can use.

you don't know your motherboard details, download cpu-z. click here This will tell you your motherboard and what type of ram you already have installed.

If you are using 98 or ME, you don't want any more ram. Win 2000 and XP bang in some more, if you motherboard can take it.
