Thanks for your help with making Paintshop my default image viewer.

I now have a few more problems.

1) None of the images are viewable as a thumbnail in their folders.

2) I am unable to open png files. When I double click on a png file nothing happens.

Any advise apprecicated.

have you tried right-clicking onto a png image file and selecting "Properties" and then clicking onto "Change" to select a program???

In the folder go to View and select Thumbnails.

If this setting refuses to "stick" click here

The filmstrip option does not work either.

Could this be because of the command you recommnded typing in from the run function?, this was to stop windows fax viewer opening images?

  VoG II 19:36 22 May 05

I doubt it but just in case, Start, Run, type in

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

and click OK.

Just a thought - are you saving the pictures in the My Pictures folder or a sub-folder of that?

If not you will need to customize the folder as a pictures folder to be able to use the filmstrip view.

Thanks VoG, that command has fixed the thumbnail problem. All now seems to be well with everything. Thanks very much for all your help.
