More about temperatures!

Sorry to keep on about temperatures but having read all the recent posts I checked mine out via the BIOS and found that the CPU temp was usually around 40C and the system temp always showed 127C. When I put this info as a thread to another post there were some interesting comments.

Today I went straight to BIOS when I started up my PC and found the CPU temp in the low 20s but the system temp still showed 127C.

I am not having any problems but is there a more accurate way (free) of checking these temperatures?

My BIOS is Phoenix Award Workstation Bios V.6.00.

Incidentally my own guess on this is that your cpu temp is right but that the sensor that provides the system temperature is either not connected or is faulty.

127c is obviously not correct and I wouldn't worry about it
