Monitor turns off after booting?

I have a Windows XP Home SP2 PC, which I just reinstalled. I restarted it and just after booting; when you choose your name, the monitor turns it self off. I am almost certain that this has something to do with the graphics driver, but I do not know how to fix it, as I can't change anything because the monitor turns off. Any ideas? I have tried to reinstall it again but no luck.

Try to boot into safe mode, this should load a generic VGA driver, and may allow you to install the correct graphics driver for your card.

maybe your monitor does not support your current screen resolution..boot in safemode then set the screen resolution to 640x480 then boot bacn in normal windows..this should fix the problem..also check you vga drivers.. if this help care to visit click here
