Monitor screen size problem

  Fosroc 14:54 16 Apr 06

Monitor screen size went smaller for no apparent reason and what ever is attempted to restore screen to full size won't work.
Running Windows XP fully updated.
Radion 9500 graphics card insitu.
Settings are: 1024x 768 Refresh rate 72
Changing these settings has no effect.
Changing the settings on the monitor only works until the next session, then reverts back toi the small screen size again.
Have run Windows Defender/Spybot/Ad-Aware and Norton antivirus, nothing detected. Have also tried Go Back no help. Any ideas

System restore could be worth a try.

Try the monitor on another computer. If you have the same problem you have a fault with the monitor.

Dowmload the latest driver package, for your card, from ATI. Then uninstall all currently installed drivers and all other ATI software. Uninstall the card itself in device manager and then reboot. When the card has been redetected by Windows, install the new drivers and see what happens.
