My daughter has a Packard Bell Imedia running Windows XP.

After many problems decided to use the recovery disk to reinstall XP.

All done but the monitor is now just blank. The PC is running fine but just have a blank screen.

Any one got any suggestions.

TIA

unplug it and plug back in again if no joy start up in safe mode [bash f8 as you start] if you see this and the post messages then you will need to load the video driver.

If nothing at all comes on-screen..............
Hopefully, it may be something like a slightly loose video card.

I think the accumulating problems may have started with the video card, though more usually if the card has come all or partly out of its socket, you will usually have bleeps on the Power On Self Test.

If the video is integrated with the motherboard, the only way to check for faults is by substitution with another card plugged in say to one of the PCI or AGP slots
