Money2007 problem

I have been using MSMoney for several years and recently upgraded to MSM2007 on my laptop. It worked fine for some weeks then just stopped opening. Each time I just got the usual 'money has encountered a problem and could not open' error message. The fils is there but it will not open. I uninstalled it and tried to re-install but each time part way through installation I get the message 'installation could not be completed some components could not be found'. Does anyone know what this means and how I might re-install please?

Has the CD got a scratch on it? if not give it a gentle clean. I find a mild detergent in warm water works well or click here

I have tried this but I get the same error message, also it will not actually uninstall properly because it still appears in 'add/remove programmes' list. Why is this so? Is this preventing it from re-installing?

Try this click here then re-install.

Now I am really puzzled, I have downloaded and run windows clean up utility but it does not even detect MSMoney being installed, yet it is STILL in the list of 'add/remove' programmes?!
