Is it possible to turn down my modem. I have used the control panel to access my modem properties and turned the speaker volume off but it has not worked. The modem is a conexant HSF V92 56k.Any suggestions?

Then phone line, click mute.

If phone line is not in the list go to propertiesm and click the box next to it.

Volume control can be accessed by the volume control button on the taskbar or via sounds in control pannel.

Hope it works.
