My daughters computer was completely wrecked by the isass.exe virus. It would not start. I have had to reinstall the Operating System to get it working. All goes well except I can't get a dial up modem working for her phone. Control Panel shows Toshiba Soft Modem AMR at COM3. Device Manager diagnostic shows it cannot be opened and there could be a conflict, yet the Toshiba says it is working fine! My daughter is going to change to AOL Broadband. If we get that and install it will it work? Grateful for any advice as she can't afford to buy another computer. Hope the hacker who wrote isass.exe has the worst luck in the world!

you should be ok if you are going broadband as you will need a different modem and the software with it for a fresh setup
