Modem problem

I have an 5 year old PIII machine which I ahve reformatted after a long period on non use, I want to use the machione as a backup.

I have installed ME and managed to get everything running smoothly except for the Internal Modem. ME accepted the driver disk OK and installed it. I have tried unsuccesfully now many time to connect with my my dialup connection to my ISO and it gets as far as "Verifying Usernam and password" it then think about about for a while then disconnects giving me the following error: Error 650

Anyone any ideas? I know the ISP setting are on correctly - I've used them a million times.

Thanks in advance!

Prodigy (and some other) ISPs: Some ISPs require Client for Microsoft Networks installed and selected as your primary network logon. (Windows: Control Panel->Networking)

AOL on your system? If you have AOL installed on your system, but are not using AOL, the AOL software may interfere with access to any other ISP. Uninstall AOL. (Windows: Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs)

Delete the connection and make a new one.
