Modem Problem

Had a problem with the internal modem in my Dell laptop so took it out and uninstalled it in Device manager. Fitted a PCMCIA card and machine seems to have accepted it OK (it shows as OK under modems in Device Manager).
After installation I click on my 'Connect Anytime' icon then the dial button but all I get for a couple of minutes is 'Connecting BT Connect, Opening Port'. It sits like this for about two minutes then says dialling. Nothing happens for some time then I get a message @the connection attempt failed because the modem (or other connecting device) on the remote computer is out of order.

Anyone any ideas how to get it working?

Darn, thought it was something else.I had the same problem and only resolved it by installing the updated drivers for the modem.Try giving that try
