I have a Diamond Supra express 56e pro external modem.

My question is does anyone know the right command to type in the extra settings box so that I can restrict the connection speed to 26400bps
(thanks to a dacs box on my BT line, 28800 is my highest possible connection )anyway back to the query, anything above 26400 makes browsing very slow hence the request.

Several searches by myself have yielded nothing so I'm hoping you good people can help me.

Can't help on that, but have you asked BT to turn up your gain (volumne) which can increase dataflow speed?

If you right click on your isp then properties. Highlight your isp and click on configure you can change the max connection speed.
