Mobile phones will interfere with your computer that's why they tell you to switch them off in hospitals, as someone’s life could be at risk with all the life saving equipment being computer controlled. They emit radiation to a certain extent that's what causes the interference.

The whole hospital interference nonesense was proved utter rubbish very recently.

Look at your event viewer for clues as to the real problem of the shutdowns.

where`s the event viewer peeps?

More likely to be the bluetooth dongle - their drivers can be very flaky.

  simonsup 21:28 03 May 07

if its the bluetooth dongle, what can i do about
it if anything?

  De Marcus™ 21:32 03 May 07

go to start > control panel > administrative options > event viewer.

Kate's right about the bluetooth drivers, flaky at best so start there.

ok thanks, will look at the dongle first :)

Just to put your Mobile somewhere else

  Technotiger 22:12 03 May 07

just remove bluetooth dongle. I keep my dongle handy, but only insert it when needed.

He he - just read that again - I do mean my bluetooth dongle :-))
