mitsumi cr-48xete firmware question.

looks like i need an older version of firmware for my cdrw, mitsumi cr-48xete.
i've trawled the net but found no sign of an older version,my present version is 482w but it has forced my drive to take a-g-e-s to burn a cd,13 minutes for a 60 minute audio cd at 48x is just too matter which speed i choose it takes ages.
anyone have a URL for older versions ?

What makes you think you need an older version, grabster?

You should be able to get all the previous firmware installs from the mitsumi website. How do you know it's firmware you need?

Windows will not update your firmware, only drivers. Generally the newer firmware revision will have bug fixes, and should cause no problems over the older versions.

I need the older version because a fortnight ago i updated the firmware and ever since burning cd's takes forever and my system slows to a crawl.
ive checked the mitsumi website but there is no archive of older firmwares.

Have you tried re-installing the current firmware, just to check it's worked properly.
