Missing Windows Management Instrumentation files

Since installing Windows SP2 for Windows XP, I find that I am unable to view System Information and get the message "Can't collect Information -
Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing". Has anyone else found this has happened to them, or can anyone help with this problem? Regards, Brian J. Welch

Type this into run "services.msc" and make sure that "Event Log" and "Windows Management Instrumentation" and "Remote Procedure Call" (RPC) have all started. Just double click each one and click start. In the "Startup type" make sure that they are set to automatic.

Problem solved by re-installing SP2 using a different CD. Original disc appears to have a bug in it.
