Help! My Computer Suffered a Critical Error Shutdown Recentley. I Have Figured Out That it Happened, And Still Happens,When i Send a Fax With XP's Shared Fax Program.I Have Discovered Through Searching My Drivers That The Microsoft Shared Fax Driver is Missing in The Driver List, However it Still Appears in my System32 File.
I Have Also Noticed in my Device Manager List, I Have a Problem With a File Called (Parport)and Also With One Called(Serial).I Don't Know if These Problems Are Connected With The Missing Driver.I Have Tried to Locate This Driver on The Net With Little Success.
Can Anyone Help? I use My XP Fax Daily.

Have you considered uninstalling and re-installing the fax utility.

Also go to Start/Run and enter sfc /scannow and hit enter, insert your WinXP disc when prompted.

This will check your files to see if they are all correct and present, and replace any that aren't.
