Missing Search button.

I have just started with a new machine running Vista Home Premium.

Both my Ultimate and my wife's Basic machines have a Search button above the Recent Items on the right hand side of the Start Menu.

I use this a lot but it is missing in my Premium machine.

Is this meant to be?

Can it be retrieved?

I have Games above Recent Items, Search is bottom left of start menu,by typing in the box

I know the search box is above the Start button - I am looking for the one on the right hand side in the black bit.

I have done a bit of research and it was apparently removed by SP1.

I have found a link with instructions as to how to restore it and if it works I will post it on here in case anybody else has missed it.

Well at least I know what has happened.

The link I found talks about replacing another button with it. Help or Run. I don't have a Run button either and I want to keep Help & Support.

On my Ultimate machine I use it all the time so I fail to understand why they remove it with a so-called upgrade!
