Missing mscoree.dll file advice please

Using the one button check up in Norton’s 2003 in the program integrity box I keep getting an error and when I click the repair option it seems to repair it but whenever I run the one button check up it comes back again.

Norton informs me that there is a missing mscoree.dll in
C: programefiles\common
Files\installshield\professional\runtime\0701\intel32\dotnetinstaller.exe

I know where it is but does any one know what this is?
I have not noticed any thing wrong should I just ignore it or should I obtain the missing file and install it?

If I do have to install it can any one point me in the correct directions to where I can get it?
Many thanks for your advice

Ray

Thanks for the advice I did as you said and cured the problem.
I can’t understand were the file went to as I had not erased anything or downloaded anything.
The error just started to appear about 2 days ago.
Once again many thanks for your help

From what I understood when I looked at it, the file isn't actually missing - merely misreported as being so by some quirk in Norton. Glad you're sorted.
