Missing Inf File - How do I replace it?

  dave h 13:33 07 Feb 04

Hi All,

Just had a message come up on my Computer which is running Windows 'Me'.It tells me I need to copy a .inf file from the installation CD in to my Windows INF Folder.

I've seen this mentioned on the Forum a while back. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find it, or give me some pointers on how to do it?

Thanx in advance:-)

which .inf file is it?
you could so a google search for the filename in question and see if it points you somewhere to download it from?
i assume by the fact that you're asking this question that you don't have the original windows me installation disk?
good luck!!!!

You can run your ME CD and select Browse. Now use the Search facility to find the required file and either copy and paste, or drag and drop into your Windows INF folder.

s24da - Yes I do have the Installation disk.
Lastchip - I tried that, with no result.
VoG - Yes, that seems like what I'm looking for. I'll try it tonight and report back.

Thanx to you all.
