missing half of hard drive

have just installed new motherboard kit (msi kt3ultra+xp2200)along with new hard drive (seagate 60gb)originally formatted hard drive with jumper set to 32gb limit reset jumper reformated but windows(98se)still only lists 32gb have tried seagate tools it reports no errors with drive.in bios drive is listed as max capacity 60022mb please help

98SE supports drives of that size but, why not make two 30gig partitions if no one else can give you a definitive answer?

have you checked your bios to check the drive has been detected correctly. when you formated HD second time did you use fdisk

used fdisk primary partition 57239mb bios detects hard drive as 60022mb
