Missing graphics

I have Windows XP Professional with Internet Explorer 8 on my laptop. Some time ago my wife tinkered with the accessibility options to make the text bigger and since then we're missing some graphics and buttons/icons, e.g. the graphic on the Google homepage is missing. I've done a virus check, re-installed IE8 without success. It's just a nuisance but I'd like to get it back to the way it was. Thanks.

Any chance of doing a System Restore to before she did the tinkering?

This May sound strange i know but it has worked for some. Check under control panel / accessability options and see if "high contrast " is checked, if it is, uncheck it.

Hi,

The 'high contrast' was checked and unchecking seems to have resolved the problem.

Thanks very much for your help.
