Missing Gbyte??

  epic 13:45 03 Mar 03

Having recently cloned the contents of a 1gbyte HDD to a reformatted 3gbyte drive, I find that my computer tells me the 3gbyte now has only a 1.99gbyte capacity. There was approx still 500mbyte free space on the 1gbyte so where have the missing bytes gone??
Any ideas please.

I lost 4Gb recently due to an aborted backup, found it on the Cdrive after doing a start/find/files or folders/advanced tab and put in a value of 'at least' say 900,000Kb hopefully that'll show you where it is. Until you now what its in any further action would be best served by someone who knows more than me.

Good Luck
