Missing fix for MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard

I have an MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard (part of the Wireless Desktop 1000 - but using my own, better, wireless mouse instead).

The Volume +/- keys don't work. Easy, check the Knowledgebase, methinks. However, although there is an entry, click here there is no help!

Has anyone ever had to use this fix in the past and actually got a note of it?

Because Intellitype Pro 6.0 wouldn't load (for whatever reason), I've downloaded v6.1 and everything is working fine except for those volume keys.

I shall be out for a while this afternoon, so may not be able to give a rapid response.

After searching in Google, came up with this - so may be of use to other people who get the problem in the future...
