Missing dll file

My sisters pc has a missing dll file she was running win 98 with the Windows ME upgrade, can i reuse the upgrade cd without loosing any information on the pc ????

And do you know the name of the file you need?

If the answer is yes to both of these questions, you should try going to; Start; Programs; Accessories; System Tools; System Information; Tools; System Configuration Utility; and under General, click "Extract File".

Use the browse button to find your ME CD and replace the file you need.

If all else fails, you should be able to re-load Windows ME "over the top" of itself, and it should retain all your personal files, but a good back-up is aways recommended!
