Missing Boot.ini file

I use system mechanic to clean my Puter, from time to time, so I do not delete anything I might need to run Win XP Pro.
I have made a file on my Lacie Ext HD so System mechanic files's bad files can reside
However, three days ago I somehow sent more than obsolete file's to my ext drive, I managed to send all my links XML Doc,Tmp files,Text doc,Shortcuts,Security Catalogues,MTX Files,MS-Dos Batch files,LTO Files, and a lot besides those, there is as far as I can see no UNDO mechanism.

I have also sent a file called Boot.ini, please could/would anyone tell me how to restore all of these files and also restore manually if possible the boot.ini file, when my pc boots it highlights the absents of the boot.ini file but then loads normally, of course I could format and start again but I have invested a lot in adding both hardware and software to this system and I would not really like to start again from scratch

(As I am too Blooming Lazy :) )
