Hi,I have found that there is a mirror image copy of my Pictures folder located inside another folder elsewhere on my user. What ever I do to either folder happens to the other. Adding photos / deleting photos etc all occur to both folders simultaneously. The second version is located in - my user '/saved games'I have:VistaIntel T64004GB Ram500 GB HDD (327 GB free space)Any help to remove the mirrored folder would be appreciated.
OKit seems that C:\users\paul\savedgames\pictures is the name for both folders.(from 'properties' after a right click on each folder)Hope that helps
Sounds like they are both the one and same folder. You can't have two folders with exactly the same path and file name.
That's what I thought. But how do I get to a point where there is only one folder - C:\users\paul\pictures - without deleting all my photosWhatever I do to the contents of one folder happens to the other, so if I delete one the other may be deleted also. Why are the folders 'C:\users\paul\pictures' and 'C:\users\paul\savedgames\pictures' the same folder?
Seems you have copied or more likely made a shortcut to it.I had a similar problem a while ago and it took me some time to suss out what I'd done.
SolvedBacked up the contents of one of the 'Pictures' folders.Deleted both fodersRestartedCreated a new folder in C:\users\paulcalled 'Pictures'The Start Menu didn't link the pictures button to the new folder. I found this which has reset the button to my new folderclick hereRestartedStart menu button now works with new 'Pictures' folder - copied all my photos into new folder.Job done!
