miniDM ? What's it for ?

  Furkin 11:28 10 Nov 09

I recently upgraded from IE6 to IE8.

I now have the download manager: miniDM. As I know nothing about it, I did a quick search here and it seem that it comes with IE7 (which I didn't have) & I can, if I wish, turn it off. Before doing so, I'm wondering if it's worth keeping ?
Is it better than my previous method (the name of which escapes me)?

Any more details would be appreciated.

thanks for reading,,,,

BTW: AVG 9.0 is out today.

i thought mini DM was the useless download manager that comes with IE7pro.
to get rid of it on the opening page of ie7pro take the tick out of minidm thats what i did.

i use ie7pro but use the free DAP for downloads.

I find it useful because it always saves the files in a location I can specify. I don`t need to change the location default that Windows chooses for example.
