Mini Disk / How can you upload files to a PC

  Pootle Flump 17:59 22 Apr 03

I have a friend who has recorded some of her songs on a mini disk recorder. The problem arises when we try to bring the files onto pc to produce CDs of her music, I keep getting told that you can only transfer files from PC to MD and not the other way round (unless the files are already in the pc in which case it would be pointless.)Surley this is madness! Can anyone sugest a way of getting the files onto our hard disk in the first place?

Kindest Regards,

You can not get the computer to read files from a minidisc.

You can record from minidisc to the pc by connecting a cable from the line out or headphone socket on your minidisc player to the line in socket on your pc.

There are many threads on how to do this, just typing in 'minidisc' or 'vinyl' into PCA's search box should find you plenty of good advice.
