Mini disc recording

Hey people have a mini disc query:

My cousin has a minidisc player that can record via a usb port (32x quicker than normal). I on the other hand can only do it via my stereo which means a 60min cd takes 60 minutes to record onto minidisc (way too long!!).

Had the brain wave of borrowing the minidisc player from my cousin, recording my minidiscs on his then using them on mine. did not work. when i play it on mine nothing happens. it shows how many tracks and their length but is just silent.

I am recording wma files if that helps. any ideas??

You need to convert the WMA files to ATRAC (the minidisc system) using the software that came with your cousin's recorder.

Also, if your player is more than 2 years old it may not support LP2/4 which you're probably recording in - if you record in no-compression mode then they should play on yours.

yeah my minidisc is over 2 years old so it wont support that record mode.
I will convert it to the ATRAC system and hope for the best! thanks Chris
