micrsoft support for windows 2000 Pro

hi

Work is doing a 5 IT strategy plan. I do realise that you can't really do that in IT as microsoft will probably be on next version after longhorn by then.

My question is - bearing in mind that microsoft are now supporting 98se until 2006 (ie 8 years from start)- is it reasonable to presume that they'll support 2000 Pro until 2008.

Could you let me know your opionions or if you have a link to anything that gives a supported until date.

I think the MS support schema is 5 years of full support from date of release followed by 2 years of limited support.
