Over the past 3 weeks 'Windows Update' has kept pestering me with the Microsoft.Net V1.1. I don't think that i ned it, but as I'm not on broadband this will take about 2 hours or more to download. Do I need this or can I ignore this invitation from Bill Gates?
Any help or ideas much appreciated.

Its used for developers. Not needed.

Well, yes, true, but in some cases (one at the moment as i can see) It is needed to use Drive Image 7. Without it installed, DI7 will not work.

But it comes on the DI7 CD and is installed almost automatically - so you don't need to download it.

I can't see any reason why anyone should have to download .net unless they have interest in web servers and development. Just run a scan on my machines and I use it on my web server but it comes inbuilt. Does DI7 not have .net embedded?

Sorry Alan I hadn't refreshed..

Alan are you sure that .net comes with DI7?
