Microsoft Word 2002 problem

When I open Word, I receive the message " Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for inconvenience". When I press Don't Send button, new window will pop up saying " Word is currently recovering your files " and forces me to run word in safe mode. I am not able to run word in normal mode. It is running continuously. I used Detect and Repair option from Help menu but the problem still persists.I cannot understand what is the wrong with my system. My system configuration is Intel Core 2 Duo processor, D945 GCPE Intel original motherboard, 160 GB Seagate HDD, 1 GB RAM. I un-installed the microsoft office and re-installed but nothing happens.

How can I fix the problem ?

Close Word. Do a search of your hard drive for a file called "" (without the quotation marks). When you find that/those file/s, there may be more than one, delete it/them, reboot your computer and start Word, see if has cured the problem.
