Microsoft update! -return-path??

  spider9 23:07 29 Sep 03

Having had some MS 'update' emails (but never opened them of course!), I clicked on 'properties' and noticed at the top some references to 'X-Symantec-Time Out..' followed by a line with 'return-Path and an email address belonging to my brother!!
I am not clear if this has any significance, could someone explain it (in easy language, as I am a complete novice!!).

Sounds like the virus going around at the moment - I forget it's name. Delete them without opening them, and tell your brother he may have a problem.

Well done for not opening them.

I would check with your brother that he does not hava a virus; probably not - these things harvest addresses from other peoples' address books.

A good tool to kill 'em is Stinger click here
Turn off System Restore first, then turn it back on once you are sure you are (both) clean click here
