What is the file extension you are trying to open?

  Rhuddlan 21:28 22 Apr 03

sorry I don't know the extension for the file, I have right clicked on the file and gone to properties, but i'm not sure were to look for the extension, the files are photos in shared pictures.

The second line down on the general tab of the poperties Dialogue box gives the file type ( not the file extension), and if you post these details somebody may be able to help you.

  Rhuddlan 23:06 22 Apr 03

on the second line down it says JPEG image, is this the file extension?

  Bebee 23:36 22 Apr 03

It should open a JPEG image. Will Photo editor open on its own (no image loaded)from the start - programs?

  GroupFC 23:39 22 Apr 03

I don't think I can offer any more help. When I open files of this type either by double clicking them in windows explorer or through photo editor they open without a problem.

Hopefully somebody with greater knowledge than mine
will be along and able to offer you more help.

Why bother with MS photo editor?, Irfanview is a good photo programme, and its free!.
