Microsoft Outlook - setting it up.

I recently tried to set up Microsoft Outlook & it asked me for details of outgoing mail & incoming mail, POP3 s & SMTPs etc. I have no idea what they mean or where I can find the details in Windows XP they require. I have always used Supanet for email before & still do want to use it for email as well as Microsoft Outlook (which I use at work & therefore am a little conversant with). Can anybody tell what info they are after & where i can find it?

Many thanks

you need to ask your isp for that info - - -examples are ; -
for ntl would be pop.ntlworld.com for incoming mail and smtp.ntlworld.com for outgoing.
btopenworld is mail.btopenworld.com for incoming and the same for outgoing
talk21 define them as in.talk21.com for incoming and out.talk21.com for outgoing

supanet
at pop3 you need to type pop.supanet.com
at smtp you need to smtp.supanet.com

account name/username & password you should already have
