Hello Gang, back for some more help. Running W98SE and Office 97 Professional and have been using Outlook Express for e-mail up to now. Would like to use Microsoft Outlook so that some of the address book features can be utilised.

Tried to run Microsoft Outook and received the following error report: OUTLOOK caused an invalid page fault in
module unknown> at 0000:00000000.

Tried to re-install Office to repair any damaged files. Still the same report. Any ideas as to the next move, apart from the obvious of stay with Outlook Express.

I would start by de-installing Office 97...and start again!

If you can gain Office 2000 so much the better...its a much better suite than 97

Run scan disc on your PC

Are you running a Virus Checker....could be conflicting with office 97

Are all other progs running OK on your PC?

You may have to resort to re-installing Win 98se again!!

TIP: Back up Back up back up before going any further!!!

Finally...err.... stick to outlook Express!!!

i think you will have to completely remove office then reinstall office and start to use outlook again. i think that this will sort the prob out

Thanks marmaduke and wave. Am running Norton AV 2003, everything else seems to operate OK. Will give the de/re-install a go.
A further dumb idea that has occured to me, if I used the Office 97 Cd to remove MS Outlook, would it be possible to us Office XP CD just to install a later version of MS Outlook or is that just trying to be too clever.

i dont think you can do that to be honest

Thanks for help. Have un/re-installed just MS Outlook, it seems to work OK. Think I will continue with Outlook Express as I cannot get MS Outlook to work with multiple e-mail accounts. Maybe it is in there somewhere!! This feature seems to work in MS Outlook XP. Probably answered my question!! Thanks anyway.
