Microsoft Office keeps locking up system

I've just built a second computer for a friend, its a Duron 1300 in a K7S5A motherboard running Win98SE with 256mb PC100 Ram. Seems to run ok, no problem when booting and run all the tests I can think of, however it insists on locking up the system when using MS Office. Deleted and reinstalled Office, deleted and reinstalled windows from scratch and tried new memory but it makes no difference. Reset the defaults in Bios.It looks like I'm going to have to try replacing each component one at a time. Before I do this though has anyone out there any idea of whats best to start with as this could be very time consuming. Thanks in advance

Thanks v i but I don't think it is the problem, its exactly the same version of Office as I have also running Win98, I feel sure it must be a hardware or Bios problem. Its Office 2000 by the way, cracking link though I'll have a look at that later.
